School Meal Service
The school meal service is offered to all children enrolled at the school. This service is provided during the midday break to allow children to eat between two periods of instruction.
School meal service for kindergarten and primary school
The school meal service for the kindergarten and primary cycles is provided by the municipality of Marcq-en-Baroeul within the school premises.
School meal service for secondary students from S1 to S4
How the school meal service works:
The school meal service for the secondary cycle is provided within the dining hall of Lycée Kernanec. Students receive a half-boarder card when they join our school. This card remains the same throughout the student’s schooling from S1 to S4, so it is important to keep it from one year to the next.
The school meal service is organized into two sittings, depending on class schedules. Education assistants take students to the dining hall via the secondary school courtyard, from which a staircase provides direct access to the Lycée Kernanec courtyard through a gate.
Payment method:
Payment is made as a flat fee. Families will receive an invoice each term, to be paid to the European school.
In case of a lost card:
If the card is lost, please report it promptly to the student life office and make sure your child has the payment for the new card, i.e. 7 euros by cheque made out to “l’agent comptable du lycée Kernanec” or in cash.

How the school meal service works:
The school meal service for the secondary cycle is provided within the dining hall of Lycée Kernanec. Students must apply for a “Génération HDF” card on the website: https://generation.hautsdefrance.fr/. This card will be used to access the canteen. They must book their meals in advance using the TURBOSELF app.
Guide to creating the Génération HDF card
Payment method:
Students pay per meal. Students must create an account on the TURBOSELF app. The app allows them to top up their account and book meals (mandatory in order to have lunch). Every meal must be booked in advance. Every booked meal is charged.
