Marie Bucamp, S2-FR, wins 3rd prize in the 2025 schoolchildren’s writing competition organised by the Département du Nord at the Villa Marguerite Yourcenar.

“One day… I’ll have complete freedom! Overcome your suffering through passion, to better find yourself. this is the theme of the 2025 edition of the writing competition for secondary school students, organised by the Département du Nord at the Villa Marguerite Yourcenar, a writers’ residence in Saint-Jans-Cappel.

59 secondary schools, and a common promise: to reinvent freedom. On Sunday 15 June, the Villa départementale Marguerite Yourcenar hosted the prize-giving ceremony for the 2025 writing competition.

The competition had been worked on with a group of volunteer pupils in Mme Dron’s French class before the April holidays.

Congratulations Marie!
